... why I feel old(er) lately.

When I found people are selling out fashion from the eighties as vintage or retro.
Yesterday I saw a group of teens laughing at a rotary phone.
I said to someone I've been a fan of Depeche Mode for 16 years now and they looked astonished.
When I did the moonwalk dance as a joke and nobody got it.

I regret my mom's old jewlery. It's in fashion now.
Some of my friends and clients are graduating high-school this year. I just had my 10 years reunion last week.
When I told someone I used to play an electronic tennis game on my black and white tv-set. They stared at me in disbelief.
I also said the Bulgarian tv network was our daily mtv/hbo back when I was little. That disbelief look lingered on :)

Many of the people I know can't remember the Garbage Pail Kids collection or what Cico really stands for.
My year of birth is being put next to words like revival.

I give you her story and I won't translate her writing. I'm afraid I'd change the emotions, so here goes:

"Pisicuţele care se leagănă toată ziua mi-au amintit de povestea mea. Când eram mică, bunicul meu mă ducea în parc şi mă dădeam în leagăn tare tare... Îmi imaginam că o să ajung până sus la copacii mari din parc şi apoi la stele. Acum că am crescut mă dau mai rar în leagăn, bunicul meu a ajuns înaintea mea sus la stele, iar stelele mele s-au transformat în idealuri. Nu vreau să uit vreodată să visez sau să fiu copil...
M-am gândit la un tricou cu o fetiţă în leagăn sus printre stele... pentru fetiţa din mine care mă ajută să visez."

There is a bench in a park somewhere and it holds stories of first kisses. That bench remains there even when we say goodbye.

Cinty...

... sent me this lovely photo of hers asking me to find the mysterious feature in it. Bee looks so happy that it got all of my attention... But I suddenly saw a familiar image on the left.

Yes, it's a t-shirt I made or should I say we made together some time ago, as I was painting and she was being an inspiration. We met for the first time that day, but when I left I wasn't so sure about it: it seemed like we knew each other for quite long.

And this is her portrait along with a few of her thoughts, an inspiration for the 'You are a terrific person' t-shirt.
